Future Ready Iowa Mentoring Program
Each Future Ready Iowa Last-Dollar Scholarship and Future Ready Iowa Grant recipient will benefit from the opportunity to be paired with a career-related mentor. Through engaging in the Future Ready Iowa Mentoring Program, college students throughout Iowa will make meaningful career connections that enhance their academic experience and strengthen their job readiness skills.
Student mentees will be appropriately matched with a mentor based on multiple factors, including professional goals, interests, background, and location. Whenever possible, the mentor will be working in the mentee’s field of study. Each pair will mutually establish and commit to a routine that best fits their schedule (e.g., 1 hour per week or 2 hours every other week). In addition to any face-to-face meetings, mentors and mentees will interact through an e-mentoring platform. Ample training and support will be provided.
